Tips for Preventing and Treating Hair Loss

Surgical Hair Restoration

Hair restoration is a great way to combat male pattern baldness as well as premature balding in both men and women, though it is most commonly associated with men.  Luckily hair restoration has come a long way over the last few years so that men no longer have to deal with the large plugs that look like the client has undergone hair restoration.

Now surgical hair restoration can be done on a much smaller level where the follicles can be moved from one part of the body to the area that is balding.  Instead of having the large plugs there can be as few as one or two hairs transplanted in one local, which looks much more natural.  Surgical hair restoration usually looks very natural and once done is permanent and can be brushed, shampooed, and treated just like you would the rest of the hair on your head.

Surgical hair restoration is usually very successful, though you will have to visit with a certified cosmetic surgeon to determine if you are a candidate for the procedure.  You also want to make sure that if you decide to go ahead with the surgical hair restoration that you are working with an experienced surgeon that has a good track record.  Many people that are not satisfied with their hair restoration did not check the background of their doctor before hand and they have paid for it every day since.

Do not work with a surgeon unless you are very confident and comfortable in them and their work.  Surgical hair restoration is permanent, meaning you have to live with the good, the bad, and the ugly!
